The Fire Bible: Global Study Edition, which features study notes in nationality-neutral English, a thorough explanation of theological terms, and the removal of any references specific to American culture, is available March 2010. The Global Study Edition also contains an introduction to each book of the Bible, in-text maps and charts, an exhaustive concordance, and in-text Key Issue background articles.
The Bible’s study helps are based on and inspired by the international language editions of the Full Life Study Bible, which began in the early 1980s as a personal project of the late missionary Donald C. Stamps (1938–1991). While serving in Brazil, he recognized a great need among pastors and lay workers for a study Bible written from a Spirit-filled life perspective. The Fire Bible was born when Assemblies of God World Missions leaders saw the worldwide potential for such a study Bible and asked Life Publishers International to begin producing the Full Life Study Bible in languages around the world, including Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. When believers in China received their first copies of this Bible, they began to call it the “Fire Bible” because of the excitement it generated in them to live a Spirit-filled life.

In October 2009 Hendrickson Publishers and Life Publishers International introduced the Fire Bible: Student Edition, a student Bible also based on the international language editions of the Full Life Study Bible, but with a special focus on student life and helps for campus missionaries.
The Fire Bible: Global Study Edition releases in March 2010 and will be available wherever Bibles are sold.
