DALLAS, Aug. 21, 2012 – The innovative social e-reading platform BookShout! continues to increase its publisher relationships as well as its selection of books available for readers via the recently-launched, interactive technology, now adding Random House to its stable.

“As the largest of the ‘Big 6’ publishers, Random House brings a lot of cache to BookShout!, along with its amazing list of books and authors that I know our users will love,” said Jason Illian, founder of Rethink Books, which launched BookShout! earlier this year. “Within the next month, we‟ll have more books for sale than Apple did upon its iBooks launch, and I‟m excited to be able to bring such a broad selection to readers on our platform.”

New books available via BookShout!, courtesy of the new relationship with Random House, include New York Times bestsellers such as “Unbroken,” by Laura Hillenbrand; “Steve Jobs,” by Walter Isaacson; and “The Litigators,” by John Grisham; along with other titles by similarly popular authors.

Launching on iPhone and iPad earlier this year, with android and web-based versions to follow soon, BookShout! has impressed users by not only allowing them to read a book but to further experience, discuss and dialogue about it with others. Bookshout! connects people around reading, and its simple and elegant user interface takes interacting and note sharing to a whole new level.

Unlike other reading platforms which only display random public highlights, BookShout! users can create personal reading groups – known as “reading circles” – of any size, which can be made public or private. Each reader can see and interact with others‟ notes and comments with a unique multi- colored highlighting system. Executive teams can read together, classes can collaboratively learn and share, and churches/ministries can read together in intentional community, to name just a few.
