CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Best-selling author, filmmaker, and the President of The King’s College in New York City, Dinesh D’Souza, will present a keynote address at the Truth for a New Generation conference about Christian apologetics, which will be held on September 28-29, 2012 at First Baptist North Spartanburg Church in Spartanburg, S.C. D’Souza will discuss the proof of God’s existence and goodness, despite the arguments of many atheists that God couldn’t possibly exist in such an evil, tyrannical world.

“Dinesh has looked at such an interesting topic, going beyond the traditional atheists’ arguments that God simply doesn’t exist and attacking the core doubt that creates disbelief, which is ‘how can God allow such evil and suffering?,’” said Dr. Alex McFarland, Director for Christian Worldview and Apologetics at the Christian Worldview Center of North Greenville University in Greenville, S.C. “We’re excited that he is returning to discuss his latest book with attendees of the Truth for a New Generation Conference.”

D’Souza may also informally discuss his first film, “2016: Obama’s America”, which was released on July 13, 2012 and discusses President Obama’s past and how it impacts his governing of America.

This year’s Truth for a New Generation Conference will cover a wide variety of news-making topics, such as:

  • Are Islam and Christianity compatible?
  • What is the truly Christian response to homosexuality and gay marriage?
  • Is Mormonism Christian?

Other headline speakers such as Josh McDowell, Eric Metaxas, and Monica Cole will cover these and a variety of other topics on one of two main stages, or in the numerous breakout sessions planned.

Speakers at the Truth for a New Generation Conference will present the Christian worldview and teach others to defend it. The conference will be held September 28-29, 2012, at First Baptist North Spartanburg Church in Spartanburg, S.C., and will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including Hank Hanegraaff, J.P. Moreland, Dr. Jeff Myers, among others. A special video message from the late Chuck Colson will also be featured.

The goal of Truth for a New Generation? To help Christians to understand their faith, work through troubling questions, and ultimately, stand up for Christianity within the culture in a manner that is reasoned, educated, and winsome.

The cost for the conference is $59 for general admission and $39 for students. For more information about the conference, to register, sponsor or to exhibit, visit www.TruthforaNewGeneration.com.
