Dove.org is a growing network of content to serve today’s values-focused families.
The Dove Foundation was founded in 1990 by co-founders Dick Rolfe and Dar VanderArk with a team of parents reviewing and giving their own ratings to films. Since then the brand has grown into one of the most trusted resources for families to find the best choices for positive entertainment. In 2017, Dove has appointed new CEO Suzy Sammons, who will bring a new vision for today’s fast-changing world of entertainment, helping the Foundation to evolve for a new generation of media consumers.
Entertainment ratings and reviews based on the exclusive Dove content grid:
• Over 10,000 reviews of movies, DVDs, scripts, and books.
• Nearly 7,000 titles awarded Dove Seal of Approval.
• 500 new Dove approved titles added each year.
• 2017 Dove will introduce new video reviews which will be available for syndication and pre-roll style advertising (“sponsored by” only.)
“Hollywood is assaulting the fundamental cherished values that most Americans hold dear. This is particularly evident in their hostility toward the traditional family. The Dove Seal is a very welcome friend of the family, guiding parents to the kind of wholesome entertainment that so many of us are longing for.”
—Michael Medved, film critic, author of “Hollywood vs. America”, radio talk show host
“The Dove Foundation performs a valuable service for those of us working in Hollywood. They dig for the facts and show us trends for reaching the values-based audiences that are under-served. Dove’s findings are regularly referred to by producers seeking financing for values-based products.”
—Ralph Winter, producer, X-Men, X2: X-Men United
