ATLANTA, Nov. 19 -- It's beginning to look a lot like MercyMe on Gospel Music Channel: On Saturday night, Nov. 22, GMC presents MercyMe Night kicking off at 8:00 pm with the world premiere of GMC's exclusive new holiday special MercyMe Christmas, followed by the world premiere special that tells the popular group's inspirational story Faith & Fame: MercyMe at 9:00 p.m. (All Times Eastern.)

In the world premiere MercyMe Christmas special, MercyMe -- Bart, Nathan, Mike, Robby, Jim and Barry -- hit the Gospel Music Channel Christmas studio to kick off the season and share songs from their Holiday album, "The Christmas Sessions" as well as some of their non-Christmas songs. Featured carols include Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Christmas Time Is Here, Joseph's Lullaby, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, I Heard The Bell and God With Us. MercyMe Christmas encores at 10:00 p.m.

MercyMe's video biography Faith & Fame: MercyMe is next at 9:00 p.m. (also 9: 30 p.m.) The brotherhood of the band is brought to life as they share candied stories of their lives on-and-off the stage. From their humble beginnings in a worn down daycare center to the success of ministering to millions of people through their chart topping hits, Faith & Fame: MercyMe gives a behind the scenes look at never before seen footage, concert performances and more all to the soundtrack of MercyMe's greatest hits. From faith to fame, tragedy and testimonies, MercyMe will be seen as never before this weekend on GMC.

The result of a praise and worship band experience, MercyMe was formed in 1994 by Bart Millard, Jim Bryson, and Mike Scheuchzer. Millard and Bryson met while working on a mission project overseas. The two agreed to start a new band in Oklahoma City with Scheuchzer, whom Millard already knew. The band added bassist Nathan Cochran and percussionist Robby Shaffer to the roster and signed with INO Records in 2001. Their first album, Almost There, propelled them into the mainstream spotlight with the smash hit "I Can Only Imagine." The album went on to sell more than 2 million records in only three years and earned the band an American Music Award nomination. In 2002, the band released their popular second album, Spoken For, which produced two more Top 10 hits. In 2004, MercyMe released Undone which produced two Top 10 hits: "Here With Me" which also hit Billboard's Top 100 chart that same year, and "In the Blink of an Eye" which, as of the end of 2005, was at #5 on R&R's top Christian hits. In 2006, MercyMe released Coming Up To Breathe which featured the hits "So Long Self," "Coming Up To Breathe" and "Hold Fast." In 2007, MercyMe released their All That Is Within Me album.
