Spotlight Specs: 3 parts

  1. FLASH AD:
    .swf file
    300 pixels wide x 150 pixels high
    file size should be less than 50K
    include a 3-5 sec pause at end of file
    24 fps (frames per second)
    No longer than 15 seconds.
    No looping (add a stop action on last frame)
    No music or sound files
    Embed your link in the file. (suggest make the whole movie clickable, link must pop up in new window)
  2. TITLE:
    18 chars(including spaces) max
  3. DESCRIPTION:
    Three lines of text
    Max 25 characters per line (including spaces)

  • At least 200,000 views per month for $999.

2) STATE ADS

  • Show your ad ONLY to consumers in individual states for $250 per month per state.

Subject Line Tips:

1) Shoot for 30 characters or less including spaces.

2) Try and avoid the term FREE because it makes it a big target for SPAM filters.

3) Because of the nature of the iTickets.com list, it is important to make sure you let people know that the email is coming from a Christian point of view. For example, recently we sent out an email for a "Biblical" weight loss program but this was not indicated in the subject line which simply had a generic phrase about weight loss.

4) When sending out an email to promote an event please include the city of the event in the subject line.

5) Punctuation in subject lines: Content filters are counting any punctuation, particularly exclamation points and question marks, as spam indicators.

6) Commands or calls to action: SpamAssassin and similar content filters that assign points for various infractions or questionable phrasings consider this "aggressive" language. Many spam subject lines puts verbs as calls to action in the subject line. These often include "Get," "Open," "Download," "Buy," "Save," Make, "Take" and "Respond."

7) Avoid Pronouns: "You," "Your" and "I" as the first word in the subject line.
